God created the earth, but the Dutch created Holland. It's a famous saying explaining that over 2/3 of the Dutch nowadays spend their lives on man-made land which was reclaimed back from the sea some centuries ago. POLDER Eau de Parfum, by Van De Zotte is our tribute to those brave and strong Dutchmen and women who -with little more than shovels in their hands- built dykes and windmills to reclaim land from the sea, which resulted in polder land to live on. This reclaimed land turned out to contain highly fertile soil; perfect farming land. Although protected by a network of dykes, dunes and other coastal protection, half of the Netherlands still lays meters below sea level. And it keeps sinking an average of 7mm per year. POLDER lets you experience what live smells like, meters below sea level.
Ingredients
You will smell fresh grass, dry woods and warm hay. This scent will beautifully develop on your skin. The main ingredients are green polder herbs like artemisia, clary sage and carrot seeds. Besides that you will also experience notes of fresh bergamot, basil, cedar wood, patchouli and vetiver, which results in this enchanting and appealing green fragrance. 100% made in the Netherlands.
Unisex
Our perfumes are not specifically made for men or women. Marketing helps create the concept of 'male' or 'female' fragrances. But the fact is they act differently on anyone's skin. So all of our perfumes are unisex.
Eau de Parfum is a very strong form of perfume, containing about 20% of pure perfume essence. Just one to two sprays on each wrist in the morning will keep you smelling amazing for the entire day.

Our country is sinking an average of 7mm each year. Meanwhile the North Sea keeps banging more and more waves upon our dunes and dykes. Behind those dykes over 10 million Dutch live their lives on safe and fertile polder land. But for how long?
Eventhough roughly 2/3 of the Dutch population lives here, below sea level, most of them don't realize how special this is. These polders are manmade by our Dutch ancestors. With nothing more than a shovel in the hand. Hard-fought lands, finally claimed back from the sea after centuries of battling the so called Water Wolf. Turned into beautiful and fertile land to live on.
Our POLDER perfume lets you experience what is smells like 6 meters below sea level.
It is bright green. Made from polder herbs you can find in the farm fields surrounding the cities. Imagine the smell of fresh cut grass, which on your skin slowly develops into warm hay and dry wood.
